7 « Paperless » storage is a paperless alternative to printed invoices. This option allows clients to track account activity online or by phone or CIBC ATM. Please note that no printed account statement is sent to customers who choose this option. Clients must verify their banking transactions through CIBC Online Banking, CIBC Mobile Banking, CIBC Telephone Banking or CIBC At least once every 30 days and verify all entries and balances on that date. In the event of an error, omission or irregularity, the client must notify CIBC in writing within 60 days of the date on which entry was or should have been reserved on the account. Banking activities that took place prior to the registration of online banking are not available in the history of online or mobile banking transactions. You can use the wire transfer services to send instructions to the bank to transfer money between your CIBC U.S. bank accounts that have common owners. You can also use wire transfer services to send instructions to the bank to transfer money from your accounts to external accounts with U.S. banks.

Transfers must not be made from a personal account to a business account or from a business account to a personal account. The bank may grant a derogation from this rule for sole proprietorships, but prior authorisation is required. Both the accounts from which funds are transferred and the accounts to which funds are transferred must be legitimate accounts. Once your account has been opened online, transfers from your account to an external account are only allowed after the opening of 30 days of the account. (This restriction does not apply to CIBC Bank USA Smart Account.) The following limited warranty applies only to payments charged by consumer accounts. The payment payable is $2,000 per transaction per payment method, with a daily limit of $2,000 per payment method per netBanking Services user. If you make payments from people in more than one account, the daily limit applies to all accounts. With effect from October 10, 2019, we are also changing our holding policy for mobile check deposits.

If you make a mobile deposit to a consumer control account or Premier NOW, we maintain your deposit for 2 business days after the filing date. However, $500 will be available the next business day on the day of deposit. We will communicate the results to you within three (3) business days of the completion of our investigation. If we discover that no errors have occurred, we will send you a written statement within three (3) business days of the completion of our investigation and incriminate your account with each amount we have provisionally credited. . . .
